Good food, great coffee and a warm welcome in the heart of Falkland Estate.
Set within the historic Estate Stables, Café 1821 is a welcoming place to relax, refuel and enjoy time with friends and family.
We’re proud to source quality produce from local and Scottish suppliers whenever possible. Our menu features homemade soup, bacon rolls, freshly made toasties and focaccia sandwiches, alongside a tempting selection of pastries, cakes and gelato.
Simple, delicious food, sourced and made with care.
Choose to sit indoors, or head outside to our garden seating area and soak up the stunning views of East Lomond Hill.
Well-behaved dogs are very welcome in the café garden – and they even have their own special menu to enjoy!
Whether you’re popping in for a quick coffee, enjoying a leisurely lunch or catching up with friends, we hope you’ll feel right at home and leave feeling well looked after.

Did you know that the cafe and shop are run by Falkland Stewardship Trust, a registered Scottish charity. All profits are invested back into the landscape in our care.
We are always on the lookout for volunteers to help our staff with running the cafe and shop.

Private Event Bookings
Private bookings for meals and catered events can be arranged for parties of 8 to 30. There are 3 indoor spaces available (Gallery, Workshop and Horsestalls).
