This workshop is designed for anyone who is looking for a day of mindfulness and creativity.

Join Jo Barrett, a multi-disciplinary artist, for a day of getting up close and personal with nature.

In this hands-on workshop, you will create a unique botanical plaster cast of your chosen plant material.

Before you attend this workshop Jo encourages you to step outside into your garden or local walking spots like woodlands and fields and have a good look at what’s around you. Focus on texture while you do this and collect some samples to use on the day.

Don’t worry if you can’t find the time to do this, as you will be spending the beginning of this workshop outside on a mindfulness walk, discovering everyday offerings from mother earth, collecting samples and searching for interesting shapes and textures.

You will then take your chosen samples inside, learn about techniques to capture your plant in clay and begin experimenting and making your mould. you will then be guided through various design stages to produce your unique piece of botanical art.

No experience is required and all materials will be provided.
